Ada-Foah Gets a Community Library

Ada-Foah the capital of the Ada-East District now has new ultramodern library. The new library which was built and donated by Justice Victor Ofoe, a court of appeal judge and a native of Ada-Foah was today commissioned and opened to the public.

In his speech, Justice Victor Ofoe admonished parents to help their children make good use of the library facility to ensure it instills the habit of reading the children. The District Chief Executive for the Ada-East District, Miss Sarah Dugbakie Pobee, was happy with the gesture of Justice Ofoe. He called on all natives of Ada toast their mi ds back to contribute towards its development. She also took the opportunity to call on the chiefs to help draw the attention of persons benefitting from resources of Ada to contribute towards academic development of Ada.

In his speech, Mr. Edward Addo-Yobo, Regional Director of the Ghana Library Authority, accepted to take charge of the library to help community members manage it. Present at the commissioning programme were fellow members of the judiciary, newly constituted library board and Library Patrons, various public unit heads, students, teachers and community members.

Some senior members of Ada and Ada College of Education honoured the initiator of the Ada-Foah community library project, Justice Victor Ofoe, for his great contribution to Ada.
