ADA NORYAMI KPE DISTRIBUTES COMPUTERS TO SECOND-CYCLE SCHOOLS IN ADA

A non-governmental organization, Ada – Noryami Kpe has distributed 50 pieces of desktop computers to four different Second cycle schools in Ada. The group which is made up of indigenes of Ada in the diaspora and home has been at the forefront of spearheading development in Ada. They were very instrumental in the construction of a new emergency ward at the Ada East District Hospital and also came to the aid of the Akosombo dam spillage victims in Ada last October.
The beneficial schools included Ada Senior High School, Ada Senior High Technical School, Ada Technical Institute, and Bedeku Vocational Institute. Speaking at the short ceremony held at Ada-Foah, Naana Adede I, the leader of the Ada Noryami Kpe team said it was disgracefully for the group to learn that some schools in Ada had to rent computers from vendors to enable students to write their final year Exams. She continued that the Ada Noryami Kpe deem it a responsibility to help improve academic performance in Ada hence the distribution of the computers. She promised that the group would keep working at adding to the number of computers for the various schools. Naana added that Ada Noryami Kpe aims to encourage the teaching and learning of IT among the youth in Ada and the donation of computers is one of the numerous strategies being undertaken by the group to realize this vision. The heads for the various beneficial schools were full of gratitude to the group and asked other groups to emulate the gesture of Ada Noryami Kpe to support the efforts of the Government.
